Many people
fear change.
But I fear
that I will never change.
I can't believe that 2014 has come so
swiftly. And of course with the New Year, comes New Years resolutions. Part of
me is somewhat reluctant to make resolutions for 2014, because deep down I know
(sadly) that I will never reach these goals. Every year we set these high lofty
ideals for ourselves, just to get hyped up about them for a few days and then
give up pursuing them just a few weeks later. Then it's back to being the same
old person we've always been. So that is why this year, I want to start out small and let God change me little by little day by day. Besides, we don't have
to wait until the New Year to make resolutions. Like a wise friend once said
(jack that's you!), we should be making resolutions every day!
I can feel that this New Year is
going to be very overwhelming. And I can already see myself beginning to get
caught up in all I have to do! But I don't want to loose sight of what is most
important. I don't want to lose sight of God, but instead hold onto Him in
every way. So with this year, I have one resolution and one resolution only: to
deepen my relationship with Christ as allow HIM to change me (cause we all know
how it turns out when we relay on our own strength!)
HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!:)
